This screensaver brings the American Southewest's most scenic locales to your monitor, but the poor-quality images don't really do the subject matter justice. Red Rock Canyons Screen Saver's pictures were shot in some of America's most awe-inspiring and famous national parks, including Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, in most instances, the natural beauty is marred by the blurry and pixelated photos. And though the relaxing theme music fits the bill, it contains a few glitches and doesn't loop constantly, placing a gap in the audio every 10 or 15 seconds. Thankfully, you can disable the music, and you also can determine the image interval, select from a library of different transition effects, and change the look of the informative captions. In spite of our complaints, this screensaver is totally free, so some users may be able to look past its less-than-stellar design.

Enjoy images of Western America s spcectacular red rock canyons on your desktop.
Red Rock Canyons Screen Saver shows spectacular red rock canyons, captured in some of Western America's most remote desert canyons. The pictures are accompanied by an acoustically based digital soundtrack, and all images are captioned and the user may control placement and type size. The excellent screensaver engine provides options for adjusting the delay between picture changes, showing pictures full-screen or at an original size, muting the audio, using up to 23 transition effects, and taking advantage of Microsoft Plus support. Images in the Screen Saver include: Canyon de Chelly, Arizona; Labyrinth Canyon of the Green River, Utah; Willis Creek in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Utah.
