The conversion process is still woefully slow, much slower than ffmpegx for example. There are never any release notes to tell you what's changed, so apart from the version going up, I can't see what's improved in the last 2 months. I bought the product in the hope that this would lead to improved development, but it does seem that things have whilst not gone down hill, at least haven't improved hugely.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />It totally eliminated my frustration in trying to figure out how to encode video that would be acceptable on my PSP 2000. The program is simple, easy and quick. It handles sync'ing on multiple memory cards. I certainly hope the program is at end of life, because I haven't found anything I like more.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />When I put a movie into the "Movies" area, it'll convert them fine. However, when I relaunch PSPWare, the movies are gone! If I go to the finder into "Documents/PSPWare" the movies are in there. Buggy!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />As a registered user, when it started I was pleasantly surprised by how frequent and how often the product was updated and new features added. However it's now close to abandonware, as very little has be done to it for ages. It falls down for several reasons. You need to attach your psp for it to convert movies. Need to convert 3 weeks of movies? Say good bye to your psp for three weeks. It won't transfer them for three weeks, but bizarrely won't convert them without it being attached. It also doesn't deal well with multiple memory cards, or trying to fit movies to more than one card. The conversion takes a long time, far longer than programs like popcorn2 take for the same movie. Popcorn 2 also manages to convert better quality images for smaller file sizes as well. Save your money, buy something else and show the developer that he needs to finish a product before moving on to other projects. All in all a flawed gem, never finshed, which is a shame as it showed much promise to start with.

It has never crashed on me.. ok maybe it has to be restarted if i remove the psp without ejecting it... but thats not crashing really. It syncs movies photos music bookmarks contacts and game saves.. easy. Click the sync the following button and select what you want.. easy as that. The movie function also translates most video types into the psp format. just drag and drop.. it also queues them so you can drag an entire directory worth. It also lets you control wide screen or 4:3 video with different audio and video quality to help with file size to quality issues... the latest version allows for audio boost to make the most of those tiny speakers. It has no set up problems no compatability issues (like most mac apps as mac controls their hardware) it does not slow down your system, or at least noticeably (i use 1.8ghz g5 dual). Updates are almost irritatingly frequent. Its cheap. Its never let me down and i use it every other day or so. If you have handbrake and pspware, you have a hand held movie machine.. 3 full length movies of good quality on 1 gb card. The psp and sony, those i have some issues with. but the pspware, makes the most of the psp.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The program is actually pretty cool, but I think this last version has a bug. On my macbook the program placed the library in my in login items, and I was experiencing a massive slowdown to almost bringing computer to a halt for 3 minutes where the memory used jumps to 1600MB ( I have 2 GB Mem), and computer is not responsive, then after few minutes the memory is released and everything back to normal. I really did not what is causing it, until I removed program and now everything is ok. The same also happened during working with program. It seems like almost the registeration screen is attempting to go online and if your connection is not there, it just slows things down. Said that, I really think this is just a bug as this program is actually very neat with awsome looks. The developer has done a good job, and they appear to be good proffissional people, and I am pretty sure they will look into this and resolve it. so please do not get take this as a bad review. Just thought to report to help resolve and also allows others to let us know if they had the same issue. Again good job, and I am pretty sure I will be buying this as soon as the bug is fixed.
