AudioX was written for Mac users who want an easy way to record sound from any input source under Mac OS X. ie. built-in microphone, USB microphone, firewire video camera or even via your macs audio-in port. AudioX is great for recording sound FX, voice memos, interview, vinyl records and even transcribing audio. AudioX 3 has a speed playback option, ever wanted to know what you'd sound like if you were a chipmunk, well now's your chance! Apart from being fun, this feature can also be very useful for people doing annotation work as you can slow the recording down, giving you more time to type.
I downloaded this product in an attempt to see if it could record the sound OUTPUT of my macintosh directly. It could not, but that's not the problem I have. This product has caused my headset to cease functioning. I've change the speaker output from my headset to my speakers and back again. I've tried unhooking the headset changing the setting, hooking it back and changing it back. I've tried restarting and doing these things. Nothing has returned sound to the earphones of my headset. So USER BEWARE.
