This program duplicates functionality already found within Windows and doesn't work flawlessly, but at least it won't cost you anything. Private Eye's System Info has a straightforward albeit bland interface with six tabs providing system information. Users will find basic system information such as processor, operating system, display devices, and free drive space. Private Eye's System Info also shows you real-time information regarding RAM and CPU usage and also includes a Task Manager-like tool. However, when we tried to shut down a process using this feature, we found the End Task button didn't work. Each of the program's sections has an option to copy its information to the Clipboard, but this feature only functions in the System Info tab. The publisher doesn't provide a help file but accepts e-mails with questions. This utility clearly has its flaws, but it doesn't cost anything and might be more convenient than accessing identical system information at various points around your PC.
