The Internet makes it easier than ever for students to plagiarize term papers, but this application aims to strike fear into the hearts of deceptive students by comparing a document with the Web to find excessive similarities. The user-friendly interface lets you quickly select files for examination, although the trial version only supports one document at a time. The program generates HTML reports, highlighting suspicious passages, and gives you a link to the Web source, so you can check for yourself. Plagiarism-Finder was fairly accurate with passages of seven or more words but didn't work as well with smaller bits of text. Therefore, we feel the program does a good job of catching blatant cases of plagiarism, but can't be called foolproof. Though it may not help finger the most savvy cheats, this app still can serve as a handy weapon for teachers and professors.

I picked english when it installed but its all in German. Cant read any of the buttons or options (there are alot)

This is a German company. When my program did not work, it took me six months to get a reply from them in English. I sent mail in German. I never got a program that worked. I wasted over two hundred dollars.
Summary
The biggest thing is that it is a foreign company, and they were hard to deal with. They never refunded my money, and I never got it to work. They told me to download another version in six months, but then they wanted me to pay for it again.

This was a complete waste of time. Many of the UI elements are still in German even running it in English. Did several tests and it found nothing.

The software doesn't seem to work. I copied 200 words from Wikipedia, 200 words from a fake thesis page and 200 words from an thesis freely available on the internet. Pasted the words into txt documents and ran the tests. The software found nothing,

Search documents for copy-and-pasted phrases from the Internet.

With Plagiarism-Finder, any Windows-based PC with Internet access can be used to check files for exact-phrase matching on the Web. Upon completing the scan, Plagiarism-Finder highlights suspect passages and includes links to matching Web pages. A detailed report gives the user a comprehensive source list and the percentage of text copied from each source, as well as the document's overall percentage of copied text.

Version 1.2.2 includes increased precision, a filter for URLs, an improved bibliography, and optimized import of MS Word and PDF documents.
