Editors’ Review
PicLab is one of the better photo editing tools we've tested in recent months, providing a rich array of easy-to-use tools. From adding meme-style text to a photo to framing it for Instagram sharing, and then adding custom borders, filters, and backgrounds, the app is loaded with options and all of them are high-quality, professional-grade filters.
When you open PicLab, you can start creating images right away, no log-in required. Snap a photo or choose one from your library and then start adding text to it. You can change the font being used and all of the options are top-notch typography, not cheap system fonts. Anything you add can be faded or darkened for opacity; and while there are quite a few filters and options still locked when you start the app for the first time, the majority of them look very good in the frame provided onscreen. Once done, you can export and share and the app provides nearly a dozen options for this including postcard creation and sending. The interface here is one of the best and most intuitive we've seen in a free image editor in a long time.
If you are looking for a new, free photo editing app, consider downloading PicLab. It's well crafted, easy to use, and loaded with features that will allow you to get more out of your image editing before sharing on Facebook or directly with friends.
