• VERY BAD PRODUCT

  Seems to promise a lot. Writes a lot of back-end useful looking codes. Looks like it might be friendly.

  Cons

  But not user friendly at all. Won't let you manipulate a lot of items on final appearance on html page. If you are a relative newby to PHP MySQL coding and trying to develop a web application, PASS THIS PRODUCT BY AND DON'T SPEND THE $300 FOR THE FULL SUITE like we did -- it won't deliver what you want, especially if you are a visual web designer/developer.

  Very disappointing product. I'm surprised CNET thought it was any good.

  Pros

  I cannot find any. The free version is worthless the paid version not much better.

  Cons

  Wasted hours of my time just to realize this software was written with the purpose of looking like it might work. Somewhere along the line the developer just gave up.

  Summary

  There is a reason this company is almost unknown. Their only worthwhile product has been made obsolete by the free MySQL Workbench and their other software can't compare to similar products not even the free one's. Support wise, they have the worst support I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. That was even before I bough the software. Can you imagine how they deal with customers after taking their money. I do not plan to ever come near them again. Without good support a product is doomed from the start. This product have neither good good support nor is it a good enough product.

  As one reviewer here flamed, the user interface is pretty obtuse. You can publish a highly functional webpage in minutes but if you want to take advantage of the flexibility and options, it can be obtuse. Once you find your way around it gets easy.

  Summary

  This is a great product. I used the free version for several years and just purchased the professional version to get the added features. I find it very versatile and worth the money. The free version is really free and has about 90 percent of the functionality. I have gotten my money's worth from the paid version. I do not understand why this gets so little notice on cnet. There are several php generators available but I have not found one as good as this. I highly recommend Php Generator for MySql. Try the free version to see if it works for you. Also, customer support is very good. A clear and accurate answer within 24 hours. I used it many times before I learned my way around. Now I can create and modify highly functional pages in minutes.

  There is no menu bar, it is not at all intuitive, and when maximized, the lower most NEXT buttons and such are hidden behind taskbar panel.

  How this thing ever got 5 stars in only 3 ratings is beyond me, but it sure seems the drafters of this entirely useless application created them all (and why do only 2 of 3 show up, with only 1 having comments?) I still can't figure out why there is a purchase link in the programs folder. Is this garbage really perhaps a LITE version? I'll never know. Glad I set a restore point before installing. And are the folks at SQL Maestro Group perhaps pirating the mySQL logo a bit? Please, save yourself some time and bandwidth and try another application (craplication?) Ha, ha, just made that up myself.

  Pros

  This program deserves more attention. Its a snap to use. You give it the SQL Query(s) and specify the tables and fields. It creates the code for a php file you can use as is or modify to your needs. The file has pw & session control and more.

  Cons

  The first time I used it various features were turned off. I discovered them by accident. You will want to turn all features on - they were off by default.

  Summary

  This program generates a report - a php file - you can use by itself or modify to fit your needs. You specify the sql query you want it to run. You specify the table and the fields you want it to access and display, you specify which fields you can request to modify in the query. Press the button and it creates a working php file that has session control, password control, an option to change which field sets the order of display. You can enter search terms (which reduce the output displayed), and whether you want to search with whole words only or partial matches ok. This is a great program.
