  Basic PDF to Word Converter for converting PDF files. It is slim, so it does fast conversion. It is a great time-saving. PDF conversion options are very useful.

  Summary

  First, the installation. There are about 5 or 6 extra programs it wants to install unless you carefully "DECLINE" the grayed out choice through a couple of cycles before the final end of installation. Be sure to read while installing. Even the Decline popup window is a little misleading. Your choices are "Yes" and "Cancel". Select "Cancel" each time. Second, the software. The program is easy and straightforward. Part of the displayed choices are unviewable and the window can't be resized. Make sure you create an empty folder to put the results into. If you select "Add a Folder" it will only give you choices from C:\. No other drives are found. When you do run the program it does work well. However, there is a limit of about 20 that can be done before it hangs completely. Only opening the Task Manager and ending the process will exit the program. So, if you only have a few files, it's OK, but it doesn't work for my 950+ files I need to convert.

  Pros

  PDF to Word Converter is light, simple and fast. I downloaded and installed in few seconds. I tried dozen PDF files. All are converted quickly.

  PDF to Word Converter worked on my new laptop running Windows 8.1 without any issues. I am happy to convert PDF to Word doc. I see it is very fast conversion. I find it best for simple PDF files. I noticed that such simple program supports more than 40 interface languages too.

  Easy to download and install.

  Cons

  Tries to install 5 or 6 spyware hijackers as installing. Just decline all though. Opens up but will not allow you to select a file. Crashes and closes. Junk that does not work with windows 8.1, 64 bit. Now finally, I am settled with another similar tool named PDF to Word Converter Free: www.pdf-file-converter.com/pdf-to-word-converter-free/ I then downloaded the free PDF to Word converter tool.

  Useless program since it will not run on my given operating system

  I am being decent here and not swearing.. but get my intention on whether there were any Pros.

  1. S/w allows only FIRST 3 PAGES for conversion.. Swear, swear, swear.. First 3 pages in any PDF contains the cover page and Table of Contents.. This software is just a trick for you to download it and will not help any bit until you buy it..!! 2. The CNet Downloader keeps showing "PDF to Word Converter" on top of installer window, and below it keeps asking you Accept - which is for softwares such as SearchProtect, some Weather Warning s/w, Free Coupons s/w etc. etc. 3. If you do not download any of the additional s/w, it does not even install "PDF to Word Converter"

  Summary

  1. Worthless trial version 2. Never choose to use CNet Downloader - will install 10 other s/w without your realizing it.
