PCSX2 is a free, open-source PlayStation 2 emulator. It functions across operating systems, offering compatibility with numerous popular console-based games. The replication is comprehensive and flexible, providing HD graphics and save states while allowing patching, resolution changes, and texture fixing.

Powerful emulation

PlayStation is a console that’s popular even today because of its backward compatibility. However, Sony didn’t add this feature to PS4, although the PS5 is backward compatible with PS4 games. Emulation grew prominent, with programs like RetroArch coming out to replace traditional consoles.

Unlike RetroArch, PCSX2 emulates PlayStation 2 only, but it does so seamlessly on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Apart from letting you run your favorite titles on PC, it offers extra features such as:
