• Laplink PCMover Home Does what it says it will do

  Pros

  Saved me time and money. I moved all my stuff from old PC to new PC, plus upgraded from Windows XP SP3 to Windows 7 (bypassing Windows Vista in the process). Once you set it up, it just does the whole process automatically.

  Cons

  Requires ability to read and follow instructions. Requires some basic knowledge of computers. If you don't, get someone to help you. I had to buy Laplink's proprietary USP cable to do the migration (a bit pricey) had to wait for it to arrive by UPS

  Summary

  Overall, this software is a great product. Time is money and I saved time. The entire contents of my old laptop transferred to my new laptop in 5 hours and I didn't have to do anything during that period. Also, I upgraded to Windows 7 directly from Windows XP with no troubles. The product is not hard to use, but you need to follow the instructions and know how to do things like turn off a screen saver and change power control settings on a computer. If you are not familiar with computers, then get someone to help you use this product. This is a VERY HELPFUL product.
