Easily run diagnostics, collect data, and save results to get a better understanding of your system with this handy utility, though some might find even the very limited demo too complex. PC Diag Ultra Lite's button button-packed interface is overwhelming at first, especially for the novice user. However, those who take the time to explore the application will find a great deal of valuable system information.

PC Diag Ultra Lite sports numerous hardware tests. All are easy to implement, and all have features disabled in this demo. The utility offers some wizard functionality, but most tests require little more than a button click to start. The program makes it easy to scroll through tests with browser-like control buttons. There are hundreds of items in the hardware information windows. The publisher makes a good effort to present explanatory information to intermediate users, but most data will be understood only by system technicians.

The demo disables save functions and has both 15-minute use and 30-day trial limitations. All three conspire to make testing the application difficult, but the small taste you get from the available tests will tell you if this program is at your level. PC Diag Ultra Lite is best utilized by system administrators, though intermediate users may find something to like.

This is a review of Windows Professional version. Investigate this software very carefully before you buy.
Summary
Buyer Beware If it is not what you want or need, you own it: there will be no refund. Support only available through web site messages. Documentation is slim, confusing and functions do not work as described.

Although I started out using the Ultra-Lite I quickly upgraded to the Professional which can not only test my own PC?s on site, but we can also remotely connect to our customers PC?s and run hardware diagnostics. <p> PCDiag Pro software has already proven itself useful with our test machines; with difficult-to-diagnose issues being readily identified. Deploying this software (where required), in combination with our VPN remote access system, guarantees that maintaining and running diagnostics will ultimately be more time & cost effective in orders of magnitude for our organisation, especially where the alternative would be to dispatch a field engineer literally thousands of kilometers into some of the most remote areas of Outback Australia. <p>There is a tendency to forget (even here), that within these vast areas of terrain ranging from desert to rainforest, where only corporate entities have the resources to fund IT support programs, there also live families. These families often only link to the outside world is by Satellite communications, where their children are educated on computers via the internet. <p>In the past, these families have had to resort to literally ?flying out? their machine or ?flying in? a field engineer when something goes awry with this valuable educational tool.Thankfully, due to your efforts and your excellent products, PC support for these people is now financially viable.
