This program stores login, finance, and e-mail account information, and software serial numbers, but there's a lot of work involved to understand and use it. The interface looks like Windows Explorer, with folders for each category but isn't quite as easy to use. Data is entered in a database with preset column headings. Under Internet, you can enter a description, username, and password, but it isn't apparent how to enter the URL. It's easier to go to the sites, where a pop-up will appear to let you know PassCrypt is ready to capture login information. The next time you open the site, the login information appears. PassCrypt works fast, but Windows offers a free option that does much the same thing. The application also creates new passwords, which may be its best feature. The other categories (banking, software, and e-mail) just store information. This might appeal to intermediate or advanced users who want to track account information in one place.

Best Software I Ever Bought!

Pros
1) Flawless operation over last 12 years 2) So easy to set up and use (works fine on Win 7, by the way) 3) Password "Vault" is encrypted when locked during use 4) Passwords up to 80 characters! (Can use any combo of letters, numbers and special symbols) 5) Reliable and never farts. Trust it, it works 6) Very inexpensive at $15.
Cons
1) Never updated 2) Need to be able to "skin" it and change font size 3) Occasionally, the first line item in a given directory (folder) will get scrambled. (Note: enter a "dummy account" in the first line of every directory you use. 4) The report writer is not very flexible. Hard to change column widths.
Summary
Inexpensive, one-time fee, intuitive, simple and straightforward in use, 100% reliable. Highly recommended for daily use. The theme/skin is at least 12 years old and needs updating. Overall, the best value in an app I have had. Still using it daily since about 2003. Note: it still works on Win 7 and all the older versions of Windows.

There are two main elements: a Password Editor for entering data, and a tray icon for quick access as you surf. Data is organized into folders and subfolders. Folder contents are displayed in a grid so all data is visible at once. You can search, sort, import, export, and generate printed reports.
