Has your vehicle check engine light come on? Worried what's caused it? If your vehicle supports OBD2 then with OBD2 Insight and a compatible Bluetooth ELM327 hardware you can find out the cause before taking it to a garage.

OBD2 Insight is multiple Electronic Control Unit (ECU) aware and can provide you with the following information (if your vehicle supports it):

Registered Fault(s)

Pending Fault(s)

Continuous and None-Continuous Tests (petrol/gasoline or diesel)

Freeze Frame (vehicle data snapshot when a fault becomes a registered fault)

Mode $06 (manufacturer specific tests - OBD2 Insights shows data in its raw format).

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

Real time graphical data is available depending on which sensors your vehicle support. OBD2 Insight can handle SAE J1979 standard Parameter IDs (PID) from 03-94 (0x03-0x5E - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs)

The following limitation applies to real time data:

Short Term Fuel Trim - graphical data is only shown for Bank 1 and Bank 2, Bank 3 and Bank 4 only current value is shown.

Long Term Fuel Trim - graphical data is only shown for Bank 1 and Bank 2, Bank 3 and Bank 4 only current value is shown.

OBD2 Insight is reliant on communicating with a genuine Bluetooth ELM327 OBD2 compliant hardware, the minimum hardware version supported is V1.0

As OBD2 Insight is ELM327 V1.0 hardware compatible it will communicate with fake/clone ELM327 hardware however your vehicle might not communicate correctly with the ELM327 hardware. Buy genuine hardware to ensure full compatible with your vehicle and OBD2 Insight.

SAE J1850 PWM (41.6 kbaud)

SAE J1850 VPW (10.4 kbaud)

ISO 9141-2 (5 baud init, 10.4 kbaud)

ISO 14230-4 KWP (5 baud, 10.5 kbaud)

ISO 14230-4 KWP (fast init, 10.4 kbaud)

ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 500 kbaud)

ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 500 kbaud)

ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 250 kbaud)

ISO 16765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 250 kbaud)
