Editors’ Review
This freeware executable quickly displays network card information, though it isn't always accurate. Network Information Requester's simple columnar list of data is easily read though you can't adjust its size or font. The program doesn't need installation, is very small, and requires very little memory to run.
You simply double-click the executable to see standard network variables and values. Our testers found the information accurate on most machines, but found some DHCPServer and Lease data inaccurate at times. Except for that minor glitch, most users will be happy to quickly get the network data without needing to go through normal Windows commands. Gateway, DHCP server, IP, subnet mask, and WinsServer values are all listed along with network card adapter data. A simple click saves the data to an HTML formatted file.
System administrators will find this freeware program a simple executable to carry in an USB toolkit. It's fast, and while not always accurate for every field, gives enough help for simple network checks.
