NeonSandbox Home Inventory Manager is an easy to use application to store and retrieve information about the contents of your home. Home Inventory Manager allows you to enter item information such as item description, brand, model number, serial number, category, condition, status, location, purchase date, merchant, manufactured date, purchase price, quantity and owner. In addition to basic item information, you can attach unlimited* photos and documents like manuals, receipts, policies etc. to each item. Comments can be entered everywhere in the application, not just for the item itself. The ability to maintain a history* of repairs and costs as well as warranty and insurance information is also included. Items are grouped in a number of different ways which allows for quick and easy information retrieval. Groups include Location, Category, Condition, Status, Manufacturer or Brand and Merchant. In the List Editor you can add an unlimited number of elements in each one of those groups. Unlimited contact information can be added to Manufacturers, Merchants, Insurers, Warranty companies, Appraiser and Repair facilities too.

Has issues - not quite ready for prime time

- Nice sorting capabilities - Possible to input lots of information - Can be customized somewhat - Images can be added to record
Cons
- Program crashes on occasion - Some information does not get stored/does not save - Calendar function when inputting dates is tedious - Does not retain user-adjusted column widths
Summary
I like this program in theory. Practically speaking it has issues that I cannot live with. For one, when I tried to <create owner> from the OWNER drop-down list, the program informed me of a fatal exception and crashed. I then tried to create two new 'owners' via the List Editor, to be found under 'Tools'. That worked nicely. Until I attempted once again to select them from the drop-down list in the screen where one inputs item information. That information never saved. I tried numerous times, and the field always ended up showing up empty in the list above the input screen. Another thing: The price of items does not appear with the two decimals in the list when the decimals are '00'. And the reports do not offer an option to print the images with the item information. Overall, this program needs work. It has good possibilities but the execution at present is lacking.
