Deploy anti-keylogging mechanisms and protect your privacy.
Neo's SafeKeys is a free program to help protect you against keyloggers and other malware. Neo's SafeKeys employs many anti-keylogging techniques in order to keep your information and passwords secure from identity theft, bank and credit card theft, Facebook account hacking, and World of Warcraft account hacking.
This program uses a virtual keyboard in which one must type in a password then drag it to the form. Key presses were not detected using AKLT (AntiKeyLoggerTester). That's the only good thing about this program. SafeKeys encourages people to use one simple, ease-to-remember password for everything which is a very bad idea. No mater what formula one uses to think up a password, if it has a pattern, it can easily be hacked. Good passwords are around 12 random characters. I have passwords for 7 secure websites plus dozens of other log-in sites. No one could remember one let-a-lone 7. The risk of having one's list of passwords read is much greater than the risk of having a key logger on your machine.
Cons
Requires one to type passwords into the form from memory or a printed copy. (Typing and saving them on the computer defeats the purpose.) Encourages simple ease-to-remember passwords. Displays the password as asterisks so you don't know if you typed it correctly.
Summary
OK program IF you are certain that only you can find and read your list of passwords. Very cumbersome if your passwords are long random strings (as they should be). If key loggers worry you, find a program that encrypts passwords and auto-enters them into forms.
