  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This application fills a very important gap. That to my knowledge exists in no other current app for the Intel Macs. I started getting no-stop messages from one user on one of my POP accounts I was checking on my iPhone. I'd delete 25, then 25 would take its place - all the same spam message. Even though my Mac is at home and on and set to delete from the server, these messages w/ their corrupt headers were persistent on the server. With MyPopBarrier, I was able to see that in one day, over 3000 of these identical messages were sent to my POP account. I was able to purge them and free my phone to receive real e-mails. I've also used this to login to my mom's Earthlink account to help her out. She's on dial-up and sometimes her friends send her these giant messages and they get stuck on the server and she can no longer get new mail. I use MyPopBarrier to login, purge the offending file and then she's able to check her mail like before.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Good to see another way of purging e-mails from server (POPmonitor seems to have frozen development!) when those bursts of spam arrive and flood the mailbox! Grrr! As explained below, you can delete individual e-mails, and it seems - subjectively and unscientifically tested, hence 'seems' - faster than POPmonitor ... But I'd love to be able to select multiple e-mails to mark them all for deletion simultaneously .... s'il vous plait, Tom? Merci pour ce petit logiciel utile ...et libre! ;o)

I tried POPBarrier as its an easy way to delete my accumulated emails however the only problem I see is that you can't select individual email to delete or not to delete your only chance ins to delete all or nothing however I would like to always keep my last 30-40 emails on the server. This makes it unfortunately useless for me at the moment but would be great if developer could implement this. Good effort and FREE so please keep on the good work

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br /><p> Another mailchecker doesn't make any sense at all, there are enough of them. <p> But if you refine filtering functions and features, it could become a indispensable tool, especially since the development of "PostArmor" was stopped. <br>A great tool, but because of the Java-base slow and problematic, but til now the only one of this type. <p>&nbsp; <p> To hell with all those filters like SpamSieve/Fire/Sweep etc. if you have to download all the crap anyway - we should get rid of it right on the server. <p> Until there arises a fine app working on this principle, I will stick to PostArmor. <p>&nbsp; <p>Give Spam no chance! <p>

What I would like is a SELECT ALL or SHIFT-CLICK or COMMAND-CLICK facility so I could chose a block of spam to purge instead of having to double-click each one. Other than that it works perfectly.
