Though easy to use, this freeware password manager lacks publisher support. My Wallet's clean, organized interface should allow users, even novices, to skip the Help file. A tree menu is already populated with five categories for organizing account log-in information. A colorful toolbar holds clearly labeled buttons for adding, editing, and deleting entries.

My Wallet's window to add new entries is simple, but holds all the relevant information. In addition to account name, username, password, and URL, you can select a default category for new entries, autogenerate a random password, and set an expiration date for the password. The app copies log-in information to the clipboard. Unfortunately, that makes the information retrievable by others. However, the one-click option to reveal the password information masked in the list of entries is secure.

Our only complaint with My Wallet is that the publisher's site is no longer available. Such orphan software could leave you unsupported if issues arise. Hopefully that won't be an issue as the program is free, simple to set up and use, and everything works well.

Simple&straightforward;no frills for pswrd storage

Pros
I have used this program for a few months and I really like it's simple design. If all you need is a simple database program to store your various passwords, then this is for you. You can tweak the settings to your liking & add as much info as U need
Cons
The main function that I want for this program is the ability to print out a hard copy of your stored info or at least create a digital file to be stored elsewhere on your HDD.
Summary
For those looking for a simple database program to store your many passwords from whatever website, then this does the job. It may not be sufficient for more secure items like PIN numbers or credit card/bank accts. Yet many of us[ novices & tech savvy alike] can make good use of this FREE program. All I REALLY want is the ability to print a hard copy of all my stored info, in the case of a computer crash[yes, I realize backing up these file can accomplish this too] Printing would also(for me) be more convenient to look info up rather than opening up the program & leaving it open until no longer needed-this might leave one a bit exposed, especially if there are others around your computer or you're sharing a computer.

Pros
All your logins and passwords are in one protected place on your computer. The program will also generate passwords that will fulfill all security requirements
Cons
Program fills in logins and passwords through clip board (not highly secure) and will not auto-fill inside of browser.
Summary
Its free and doesn't require you to send your info to any third party - those are huge plusses. It is however not as convenient as some pay programs.
Pretty good if you only want to save passwords.

Pros
It's pretty good password-keeper freeware. <p> <p>It allows you to generate alpha-numeric passwords up to 30 characters. <p> <p>Allows you to categorize your passwords and add websites. <p> <p>There's nifty function that allows you to copy usernames or passwords with a quick keyboard shortcut.
Cons
You can only generate 30-character passwords, despite it saying you can generate whatever number you put in there. <p> <p>Saves (and exports) files as .dat file. <p> <p>There's no "easy" way to plug this into a browser and use it. You have to have a browser and the program open at the same tiem and switch between the two.
