• Crashes Every Day

  Portable. Loads quickly. Plug-Ins useful.

  Cons

  Crashes every day. Compacts slow my machine to a crawl. Constant freezes (pauses).

  Summary

  This is nicely portable and allows me to keep my email on a network server. The directory structure is a bit convoluted, but is much better than Outlook. However, it crashes every day on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and compacting slows everything on my machine to a crawl. There always seems to be freezing going on with my machine until I kill Thunderbird and restart it.

  Has great array of ad-dons. Faster than IE Can get it portable hardly ever crashes

  Cons

  Some plugins not available eg: security cameras

  Summary

  Overall I find it the best of an average lot

  For years I've been trying to figure out how to keep TB email and -- especially -- contacts in sync between my home and office PCs. TB Portable is by far the best solution I've found. Instead of trying to synch profiles on different computers, it lets you carry a single profile with you on a USB drive and use it on any computer. Highly recommended!

  Pros

  Add-ons are great. I was able to develop spell checker for my wife's minority language. Very good organization. Helpful in setting up new accounts.

  Cons

  Can't get it to work with Outlooks owa webmail. I hope they get this fixed.

  Love the ability to create sub-folders (take note gmail), as well as turn an email into a task, have the abiity to create reminders, etc
