MorphVOX Junior is a free voice changer software app for Windows. Although it's designed for online games, you can use it for any purpose that requires voice changing and it works well with most VoIP and IM clients. MorphVOX Junior installs easily, and a relatively clean interface makes it easy to work with. There is a paid version of MorphVOX Junior that adds a lot more capability and better quality, but the free version will be fine for casual users.

Whether you want to change the timbre of your voice, make yourself sound like the opposite sex, or simply play with the various effects built into MorphVOX Junior, the system is easy to work with. While of higher quality than some other voice changers we've experimented with, this is still quite obviously a synthetic voice creation and is not likely to fool too many people (despite the advertising hype). A cool aspect of MorphVOX Junior is a library of sound effects you can easily trigger, adding a soundtrack to your calls.

MorphVOX Junior is more for entertainment than for real voice changing, and as an entertainment package it does fine. We used it several times, sometimes trying for subtle changes and sometimes going to extreme voice changes for laughs (you can make yourself sound like Darth Vader quite easily!). MorphVOX Junior is fun, if you can find the right uses.

Horrible Progr Horrible Program

None!!!!! DO not download this program until the company has addressed the issues reported below.

This program disappeared into the background of my computer once I opened it and minimized it. Once minimized, I lost complete control of Morphvox. I had to uninstall it. Since my son begged me to put it back on, I gave it a try again after running a Webutation.net and scamvoid.com check. Both of these websites said that screamingbee.com was a safe web site, but I beg to differ.
Summary
Be very careful with Morphvox JR the free version. It was harmful to our computer, and it just may be harmful to your too.

well it works, I'll give it that.

It's essentially crippleware. There are only 3 voices available for the free version, no importing effects, no custom tweaks, not to mention the GUI is ugly and looks like it hasn't been updated since 2000.
Summary
The free version is crummy. I don't know about the paid version, apparently the paid version has tons of scripts and plugins. I need to keep looking for a free/open-source audio manipulator that can use scripts/plugins.

I admit, I wasn't expecting much when I tried this product, but I was pleasantly surprised. The included voices actually sounded pretty natural and fun.
Cons
No cons that I could find.
Summary
I don't know why people are saying they had a hard time setting it up. I ran the installed, did the voice trainer, then it worked perfectly. If you like goofing around with voice changers, this is a fun one.
