This privacy application cleans your system, but falls far short of common features found in similar programs. Moonsalt Windows Wash's clear-cut, straightforward interface clearly highlights its main functions. However, some testers reported black on almost-black lettering. It scans and removes many unwanted files that merely take up important disk space on your system. The program simplifies choosing among different preset folders where your offline and online activities are usually stored. The scan process was quick and effective in our tests. Located files are listed with file size information, although a brief description would have been nice. You can easily select the files you want to remove, but be careful: you cannot restore deleted files. Most programs in this genre have Undo functions to restore some deleted files. Similar programs allow users to browse for more than the preset folders, but Moonsalt Windows Wash neglects that option. No help file is available for novice users. Power users looking for a flexible and feature-rich privacy application will find this program all washed up.

Moonsalt Windows Wash is a privacy-protection tool that erases traces of both your online and offline activities. Windows Wash enables you to clean traces left in Windows (recently opened files, Run history), your browser (cache, cookies). Windows Wash also acts as a system optimization tool it can remove unused and temporary files from your system, allowing it to run faster and more efficiently, freeing up more hard-disk space. Your PC is tracking all your actions and stores the evidence into your hard disk. Anyone else can see where you have been on Internet and the images, movies you have seen. Perhaps you stumbled onto one or two adult Web sites. Perhaps by accident. Perhaps on purpose. And you don't want your husband/wife, dad/mum, boss/colleague or anyone else to know you've been there. With Windows Wash you can fully control which files are erased, and you can see which files would be erased and the amount of hard-disk space you will recover.
