mLights - The Ultimate Treo Keyboard And Display Backlight ManagermLightsis the keyboard and display backlight manager for Treo 180, Treo 270,Treo 300, Treo 600 and Treo 650 devices from PalmOne. mLights willenable your keyboard backlight to turn on automatically during thenight hours, and to stay turned off during the daylight period.Inaddition to this, mLights is designed to preserve the Treo battery andextend its lifetime. It does so by keeping the keyboard backlights offduring the day, and during the night it dims the screen to lowestpossible level and turns the keyboard backlights on.You candefine a time period during which you don't want the keyboardbacklights to be turned on. The main purpose of this feature is toincrease the battery life and save you from annoying backlightsflashing (turning them on and off) during the daylight periods when youdon't need the backlights. You will benefit by having the best balance between battery life and user experience.mLights Features:
Keep the keyboard backlights on during the night.
On Treo 270, Treo 300, Treo 600 and Treo 650 devices mLights will decreaseyour battery consumption by managing the keyboard backlights and screenbrightness level.
Dim the screen during the night - it is easier to look at the dimmed screen during the night. Plus, it saves your batteries!
On Treo 180 devices mLights will automatically turn on the display backlights during the night hours.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I'm really looking forward to some additional features. Ideas for version 4:
Manual control of lights for times when things get dark during the day (entering a room or theater, etc) or when things get bright at night. It would be really, really great to be able to hit a button (like assign the side key of the Treo) and have the keysboard and backlight go to default temporarily, without having to open mlights, select the new times, etc, etc, and then have to go back again to restore mlights later.
ok? otherwise, thank you, and my battery thanks you!
