This free PowerToy for Microsoft Outlook is designed to help you avoid that exact scenario, helping you save time and avoid needless embarrassment. When the Missing Attachment PowerToy detects an outbound e-mail message containing words which you typically use when including attachments, it will offer you an opportunity to revise the e-mail before Outlook sends it on its way. Works only with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. (English-only.)

Pros
I like that I can add my own keywords to the configuration so I can "train" it to make it work even better, and I can also set it to look at just the most recent email in a thread or the whole thread. It's really a flexible tool.
Cons
Nothing that I have so far.
Summary
What I really like best is that it has saved me from embarassment with clients so many times when I went to send an email but forgot to attach a referenced document.
