• Simple & works very well.

  It's free! The interface couldn't be more simple. Uses Windows drivers so from/to copy access to all types of drives is available. The program manages to create a copied disk that is immediately bootable.

  Cons

  Practically non-existent help or guidance info. Because of this - even in context of the simplicity of the program - you may find yourself open the program and reviewing your options more than once before proceeding.

  Summary

  You only have two options in this program: Copy Disk or Copy Partition. The (lack of) help info doesn't clearly explain the difference. I have to assume the Copy Disk option is going to be more relevant to people with multi-boot partitions on the same drive. Since my drive only contained a single Windows partition I chose Copy Partition and it worked. The new - and larger - drive booted with no problems. Yes, this program does lock you out during the copy process, working in a "Drop to DOS" type of environment. If you want a true copy (clone) with no guessing about how much crap you were doing *during* the copy process this is the way it should be. At the end Drive Copy modifies the necessary Windows settings on the new drive to make it bootable with no added fiddling needed on your part.

  Pros

  It successfully clones a disk quickly and with no hassles! It merges partitions, splits, re-sizes, works with most external USB drives. Works with most 32-bit windows. I have not tried it on 64-bit yet.

  Cons

  It is NOT a con, but simply a wish: I wish it would create IMAGES of drives or partitions.

  Summary

  In my opinion, for most operations I need to perform as a home user, it works better and it's more reliable than some other programs I have purchased!

  Pros

  Easy to use. Works fine with Win 7 32 home premium. Free. Small install footprint.

  Cons

  About 1/3 slower compared to Acronis. Cannot clone while in Windows. A reboot is required to clone before Windows starts.

  Summary

  This is a neat, sleek disk drive copy program. Did I mention that it was free? I subtracted 1 star due to the slowness and the fact you must reboot and cannot clone within the windows OS. So, set it and forget it. It works!

  Pros

  Simple to use tool to clone/copy your bootable (or not) drive to bigger or lower capacity. Perfect. My congratulations for developers. I was looking this tool for months!!
