  NOTHING!!!

  Everything! It freezes, takes a long time, creates multiple versions of files, doesn't recognize what's needing to be deleted

  Do not be tempted by a free trail of this $50 software thinking you are getting a bargain for a month...you will be very sorry. Very frustrating, if only I could figure out how to stop this trial from running I would. If I could give it 0 stars I would, but CNET only allows 0.5-5 rating. Cannot believe anyone would actually pay $50/month after a free trial of this, nor that Seagate is giving it preinstalled on their external hard drives (just got a refurbished FreeAgent GoFlex from returning a non-working original FreeAgent that used to have it's own sync function which worked great in minutes). It takes forever-the 1st time I tried it took over 24hrs to sync when I had only just plugged in the external hard to back it up the 1st time. It freezes up, needing to unplug the external for a period of time to get it to work again. It doesn't sync right away, so when I delete a file on the computer and it sees it on the external it pulls the file from the external back to the computer so I have to delete it multiple times (I'm talking like over 12x's I've tried to delete a file only to have it put back on my computer). And it's creating multiple versions of this file, I guess thinking it's saving me by creating another backup version...so I'm deleting multiple versions of the same file multiple times!

• This software actually erased my files

  Pros

  It seemed great at first, until it completely and utterly failed.

  Cons

  This software deleted several folders off of my computer, that were then unrecoverable. IT spent hours trying to recover the files, but the sync software erased all traces. Ironic that the very software that I purchased to protect my files was the actually responsible for destroying them permanently.

  Summary

  This software does the exact opposite of its intended design. Purchase it if you want to lose your work forever.

• BEWARE THIS ERROR-PRONE PRODUCT

  Pros

  I have repeatedly created a backup plan and verified that it worked in the correct direction. Easy enough.

  Cons

  The problem seems to be that, after it finishes synchronizing files from the hard drive to the external hard drive, IT RUNS ITSELF IN REVERSE. So new versions of files get deleted off both drives. I have to stop Memeo Auto Sync and dig them out of the trash.

  It didn't always work the way it was supposed to. It didn't even recognise some folders. In the end I found a freeware app that was much better, and had options

• Changed my terms with four days notice

  Pros

  Pretty easy to use. Did backup my Seagate wireless storage drive which was the reason I was using it.

  Cons

  Received a message on a Monday that my service terms would be changed on Friday from unlimited for $50 per year to 100GB for $80 per year. No other communication prior to this. I needed more than 100 so they were out as a provider for me. They claimed they were changing their pricing structure but as of one day ago, their website lists the original price. They did automatically refund most of my money---whole process a pain. I'm now backing up using my new provider, SOS.

  Summary

  Don't buy unless you have minimal backup requirements.

• Would not recognize my backup drive with XP Pro.

  Pros

  Don't know if it even works; but it installs and takes up a lot of room and RAM.

  Cons

  This came with my Seagate GoFlex 2GB drive. Disk Management recognizes the drive. Memeo would not recognize the drive after it was correctly installed. I tried this twice several months apart. I uninstallked as much as I could but the Seagate Dashboard is still on my boot drive doing nothing but taking drive space and RAM. No hints as to how to fix either problem.

  Summary

  Consequently I do not recommend it. Still doing manual backups - a pain.

• If you are using win & or Vista DONT GET IT!!!

  try it for 30 days for free but it install programs you cant remove unless you format the HD

  Cons

  If you are using Win 7 or vista this is by far the worst sync program ever. It will hang and force a system reset and it is unpredictable in terms of sync quality. I strongly recommend against it.

  Pros

  Came free initially packaged for Seagate for 30 days. What a sneaky trick!

  Cons

  Paid for the full program. Regrets ever since. It crashed my other programs it was trying to sychnc. Agree with other reviewers that it is a waste of money!

• Warning - Dangerous Bug !!

  Works well on small and medium sized files.

  Cons

  Serious product bug! Does not work on large files. Will indicate that files have been synch'd when they have not. Can cause file loss.

  Summary

  Memeo needs to fix the bug with large files. Skip buying this - there are free programs that do the job as well or better without screwing up on large files.
