• Simple but handy little tool. Not file heavy to download.

  Relatively easy to just jump in and start re-naming. I recommend you practice with a COPY of your files to try the renaming first to make sure you're doing it right. I needed a quick GUI to change my photo filenames from the format: MM-DD-YYYY to YYYY-MM-DD and this did the trick in short order. (Tip: I learned the hard way it's best to name files w/a date by year first.) Anyway, I was able to quickly jump in and make my changes without much ado. There may be other programs out there that are fancier, but this worked well for me and I just needed a simple tool. <p> <p>Features: the "Replace" button is a very valuable feature. In this case, I added "YYYY-" at the beginning of my file names to add the date there, then simply searched for "-YYYY" and replaced it with nothing. <p> <p>Bottom Line: super quick to download (Cable) and light file size. <p> <p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ QUICK INSTRUCTIONS: 1.) Choose file folder in left window pane <p>2.) Files appear in middle window pane <p>3.) Type new file name directly in right window pane just like a text editor <p>4.) Click the yellow "Rename" button <p>(Warning: there is NO undo for this action)

  Cons

  I would like to see this feature added: a "Paste" button so I don't have to hit "Arrow Down + Home" plus "CTRL + V" a gazillion times.(carpel tunnel anyone?)
