• A very limited utility for fixing Access files.

  Opened a corrupted Access DB file and show some tables. Saved some records.

  Cons

  Program didn't complain of problems in db. Didn't say there was a problem it could not handle. No online support. Contacted company and they said that's the way it worked. You must buy program to see that it doesn't work. Not really a commercial product.

  Summary

  I download the trial and was able to open my damaged Access file. That was good. The software gave no indication that it was unable to recover the tables. There was no indication of an error or damage to the file. This was bad. The full database structure, if it can be retrieved is supposed to be visible in the demo version. The documentation and online help is non-existent. The software only said 'buy' to save the file that I could actually check. After paying for the full software I expected to see the full restored file. Instead I get a fragment of the DB and after waiting a week, word from the support people that the file was damaged. I don't expect this software to be able to fix all situations, but as commercial software there is the expectation that it will tell you it had problems with reconstruction of tables and recovery of the records in the tables. Instead there was no indication that anything was wrong. I find this software to be, at best, incomplete, at worst a scam. Avoid it.
