Editors' Review
MB Birth Star tells you what your birth star is, and much more. Based on Vedic astrology, this simple program requires a lot of personal information, but rewards you with an in-depth look at your life.
This program's interface is simple to navigate, even though the information required might take some online research. The link to help users find the longitude and latitude of their births is clunky and not a good addition. However, the results page is intuitive, with its collection of tabs and descriptions presented in layman's terms. In addition, there is a Help file for users who need guidance, though it doesn't cover astrology. The program requires you input your birthday, the longitude and latitude of your birthplace, and the time zone and time of your birth to get an accurate reading. From there, your are shown your results, which are displayed in five different tabs focusing on the characteristics of the star sign, negative human traits, positive human traits, career and domestic traits, and physical traits. Everything is written with a minimum of astrological jargon so that any level of user can comprehend.
While this freeware program requests some involved information, the results are great for anyone from novice to expert interested in Vedic astrology and star signs.
