  Pros

  After years of using the earlier versions, I'm wowed by the intuitive, clean interface of version7- and the new split-windowpane display that allows multiple views so that a record's updates, details, to-do's are immediately visible in the other panes. <p> <p>Controls are tucked away for a more uncluttered layout, yet somehow always handily at hand- seems like an insignificant point, but it goes a long way with those who were intimidated by the older product's busy cockpit dash. <p> <p>Click, and the verbal-outline view becomes a goal-tree view, giving what they call the 10,000 foot flyover to zero in on the items with color alerts. Alerts can selected to be based on schedule, status, risk, or results/score - which reflects the more sophisticated thinking that made ManagePro the pioneer: i.e., time cannot be the only reference point for decisions. <p> <p>Another plus-point for this product is its emphasis on Updates and Issues - again, reflecting a major difference in thinking versus Microsoft Project. Issues and Updates and scorecards - because ManagePro seems to have ben designed with the assumption that real life hardly ever works according to plan. Lastly, it's very scaleable - one can start with a single manager user, and expand to a whole-enterprise solution.

  Cons

  Given the value/price ratio, it's hard to carp about what's not in the package, but if I had a major wish, it would be to make it seamless with WORD for reports.
