MagicRAR setup wizard installs MagicRAR on your computer and gets you up and running. Regardless of what operating system you use, or what bitness it is, the single file installer installs all necessary MagicRAR components, and will even check online for the plug-ins after the installation.
Multiple CPU cores used to increase speed.
Balances all the workload across threads.
Beats Windows NTFS compression.
Very fun conversion progress to watch!
Reprocessing mode to manage locked files.
Cons
Does not provide alternate algorithm to NTFS compression.
Summary
I have a pretty small SSD, as they are very expensive. I used MagicRAR's Drive Press utility to compress this SSD. I had tried NTFS compression before but this one actually fared much better. I have a lot of free space on my SSD now. They explain on the site how they are able to increase NTFS compression, it has something to do about a Windows bug. I am very impressed someone thought of this!

Pros
Eliminates need for cocktail of three archive programs.
Only utility I found that can compress into all major formats.
Has built-in full disk compressor which is also unique.
Unique Explorer folders feature is super convenient.
Cons
Find Smallest Archive feature doesn't have simultaneous mode.
Summary
I have been using a cocktail of archive utilities for years: WinRAR / WinZip / 7-Zip. I have to install and use all three programs because each has some weakness or the other.
With MagicRAR, for the first time I have found a program that eliminates the need for this "cocktail" of software with a single, well-designed utility.
It is super convenient. After being able to open 7Z and RAR files like folders in Windows, I find myself I cannot go back to a cocktail of three strange user interfaces.
