Summary
I downloaded this program (2/10/2011) today and tested it out. It was very easy to install and simple to use but if you want a zip program that compresses files, find another program because this one just doesn't cut it. I tested it out with two different file types, set it at maximum compression and was very disappointed. Music files, starting size was 46mg finished size, nearly 45mg. Then tested with photo files, staring size was 495mg, finished size 1.19mg. So the photos appeared to do better than the music BUT upon closer inspection, even though I had selected the entire MyPictures folder it only chose the files in the first supbfolder of MyPictures and not the entire Folder & subfolders of MyPictures. So in fact the stating size was really.1.22mg and it reduced that to 1.19mg. Not much of a compression as you can see. I don't recommend this program to anyone who is looking to compress the size of their files. It does create executable and zip files easily, but won't give you the compression you'd expect with a file compression software!
