Emulate Wyse, Viewpoint, DEC terminals.

MacWise emulates ADDS Viewpoint, Wyse 50, Wyse 60, Wyse 370, Televideo TV 925, DEC VT100 and Prism terminals. Esprit III color is also supported in Wyse 370 mode. MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal -- connected to a host computer directly or via modem. The emulators support video attributes such as dim, reverse, underline, 132-column modes, and graphic characters sent from the host computer, as well as enhanced Viewpoint mode. Features include phone list and dialer for Hayes-compatible modems, on-screen programmable function keys and more.

I need to have a reliable app that lets me in to the shell and I can use for terminal emulation with routers, switches and the like. It works! Not a big power user and it does what I need it to.

I have not had any problems.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. Tried using this to connect to the console port on a raid subsystem. First launch after install gave me a ton of errors. Quit and relaunched; app froze "checking connections". Couldn't force quit from the keyboard, activity viewer, command line...finally had to reboot my server. Luckily this machine is offline and isn't live.

This is an awesome product!
