LapTimer 2000 is a MS Windows program that will count and time laps on scale slot car track. Laps are timed with 1/1000 of a second accuracy. Lap Timer 2000 includes hardware interfaces for the joystick game pad, parallel printer port, and the RS-232 serial communications port. Slot car tracks with up to four lanes can be used with Lap Timer 2000.

Works Great for R/C Car Racing

Pros
I was looking for software that I could with my laptop to time R/C car races. This was it! I made a simple trigger using a laser pointer and a photocell, and hooked them up to the parallel port on my laptop.
Cons
I have no complaints.

I have tried several lap timer programs for R/C cars, and this one is the best. All it took was a parallel port cable, a laser pointer and a photoresistor from Radio Shack - and I was up and running. Thanks, Greg!
