KidZui seems like a kiddified browser with social networking rolled in. Children can find their favorite YouTube videos, rate content using tags, and share opinions with other KidZui friends, all from a colorful interface with big buttons and labels. KidZui is anything but a standard kids' browser, though, and what makes it so unique is precisely why it's such a safe tool for children.

KidZui is a closed system, not filter-driven, so all content that's available has been approved by editors into a whitelist database. Kids can explore the Internet by using the search/URI bar, or search by a left-nav sidebar that's organized by topics including science, movies and TV, games, sports, and animals. Just below the search bar are three tabs, for Web browsing, Photos, and Video. The latter two work much like Google's Image and Video searches, where you type what you're looking for into the URI bar and the tab automatically narrows it down to the specific type of content that you want.

Parental registration is required before your child can create an online identity. Kids can customize their avatars to a limited degree in the free version, with more options available via upgrading. Free KidZui is fully functional, but the paid upgrade definitely offers more. Among the additions, children get more content rating tags, more avatar clothing, and more backgrounds, while parents get the ability to block individual sites, can view an unlimited history of the child's browsing, and can force-add sites to their children's favorites list.

KidZui offers kids one of the safest methods we've seen to use the Web, while parents get the peace of mind that their children are learning and having fun while remaining the final arbiter of the Internet experience.

Easy, Safe Access to Internet Entertainment

Easy, colorful, safe. A one stop shop for edutainment and kid-friendly videos.
Cons
Distracting. If your child needs to get online and do research or complete a class activity, the first they see is a colorful, active start page with all these fun games and cartoons.
Summary
I think it's great this product exists, but I will continue to safeguard my child's internet activities in other ways for now.
Becomes useless if kids use another browser.

safe, updated content, lots of options for her to explore. has websites for her as convent buttons. when she gets tired of something she can click another website. so example 10 websites x 20 games on each site. That's 200 game disks i don't have to change every 5 minutes.
Cons
Has a lot of dumb YouTube videos. but she is the one who chose to look at them.

Everything is great. I tutor my Godchildren, so the tutoring links are helpful. Seems to be safe and I like how I can customize it. The kids get an avitar and their own screen name/email. Very nice. A+

Have to pay for full benifits of program.
Summary
Although you have to pay to get the full benefits, I would say its worth the price. The free version is ok. All the sites your kids like are wrapped up in this program and it's very easy to get around.

If you want to set your kids on the path to wasting the rest of their lives browsing through useless, commercial-oriented websites, then by all means fire this up. The interface is too simplistic and this is an absolute waste of time for any intelligent child.

this kids browser is brill. kept my autisic girl so quite and that is so hard. easy to use and set up. this browser CAN NOT hook up to the normal net 'i have tried' so knowing this i can leave my child alone while she surt's..

The interface is beautiful and has a wide variety of stuff for kids and even grown ups.. if you like doing stuff with your kid. My kid love's this thing.
