Used JXCirrus Diary for Windows?
Editors’ Review
JXCirrus Diary is a powerful program meant to help you plan out your free time and prioritize tasks for your projects around the house. You'll be on top of things all the time when you use this convenient program.
Pros
Preloaded with samples: JXCirrus Diary comes with a few sets of example projects, so you can poke around and see how the various features of the program really work. This is a great way to get a feel for the interface before you try entering your own project data.
Multiple views: Choose from Tree, Day, Week, Month, and Summary views to stay on top of all of your projects. These various options are available through tabs located across the top of the interface, and they let you see what your schedule looks like going forward.
Cons
Confusing interface: This app has a ton of features, and that leads to a somewhat complicated interface. There is a good tutorial available to help you get a good sense of how to make the most of the program, but the tips that show up when you're using the app aren't terribly clear or useful.
Bottom Line
Once you get the hang of this program, it can be very useful for keeping track of all kinds of tasks and projects. It's a free program, but there is also an option to upgrade for $20 to add features like planning years in advance, automating tasks using Javascript, and overriding automatic planning to set your own priorities and timelines. Overall, this program is definitely worth trying out to see if it can be useful to you as you try to maximize your efficiency in any area of your life.
