You can access files directly from Windows Explorer just like a local drive. Jungle Disk also allows you to automatically back up your important files quickly and easily.

Version 1.61a includes support for Amazon S3 and Rackspace Cloud Files storage options and Native support.

Excellent data security. Very cost effective.

Pros
Price/GB backed up and stored is very low. Backup is automatic and reliable. Backup jobs can be precisely configured down to the individual file level. You can choose to store your data on Amazon Web Services or Rackspace servers. In either case, your data is stored on multiple servers in geographically separated locations.
Cons
The software is flexible and powerful but it has quirks that are not intuitive - you must read the documentation carefully. You must understand the various options and decide how to configure your backups to best suit your needs BEFORE you jump in and start down the wrong path. Jungle Disk is not for a computer novice.
Summary
Jungle Disk has been my exclusive on-line backup solution for five years and I have recommended it to family and friends. If you invest the time up front to understand the options and details, you will be rewarded with very economical, flexible and rock solid data backup.

Summary
This tool provides very good security, very good performance and a lot of fine tuning options. However, as can be seen from some comments here, it is not easy to use. I would say it is made for use by experienced administrators, less for home users.
Run Away, much better and cheaper options elsewhere

overpriced, horrible user interface. Keeps recreating a computer backup I deleted over and over, tech support can't or won't help and it is costing a lot of extra money a month as a result. Moving to another service now and will do a chargeback on Amex

TO BE CLEAR... I did like and appreciate Jungle Disk. I found it a worthy "cloud" based tool. That said, however, I intentionally and disappointingly let my account expire and will probably not return as a client because of a certain intractable design in the system. My company relocated, resulting in the loss of an important document containing the encryption password for our Jungle Disk account. After multiple attempts to decrypt the file from memory, we capitulated and chose to walk away from our account and some important irretrievable documents. I suggest JD consider options to assist those who no longer have access to their encryption password. That failure reduced Jungle Disk's value to us so significantly that it made no sense to pursue a future relationship. That, in a word, is DISAPPOINTING. I trust these thoughts hold value for Jungle Disk and JD clients going forward.

Do not use this service. withI had multiple prob billing and backup/sync issue which led me to cancel my service. Then when I tried to cancel, they have one of those deceptive and fraudulent processes which dupes you into thinking you have canceled when they claim you haven't. They charged me for 2 extra months and refuse to refund the whopping $8.15 in question. They have multiple complaints from others about this, and have only recently put some very bold red lettering on the cancellation page. But they still insist it's user error and not their process.
