While playing, you can zoom in on pieces, use trays for sorting, and enable or disable a "ghost" background image of the finished puzzle. For a bigger challenge, set up the timer or try solving a puzzle in Mystery mode, without referring to the finished image. We weren't big fans of Jigsaws Galore's MIDI background music, and its memory use (25MB) seemed excessive. On the other hand, we like the thoughtful Gift feature, which bundles puzzles into executable files you can send your friends.

Play the included jigsaws or design your own--with this capable game package, you can do both. We found Jigsaws Galore's 10 sample images merely adequate, but making your own puzzle is as easy as browsing to your favorite snapshot. Whichever image you choose, you can specify the number and style of the pieces, change their edge style, and customize the appearance of the background.

Bottom line, anyone looking for a simple, quick way to create custom jigsaw puzzles should consider this application a contender.

Pros
Easy to use, makes nice little puzzles that you can save as "gifts" on your computer or pass along to friends.
Cons
I used to have this program on another machine and it was great. When I downloaded it this time, it came with SEVERAL unwanted programs, even though I carefully unchecked those options at installation. One program simply wouldn't uninstall, no matter how many times I tried -- I had to manually search to find and delete the program files. I *think* it's gone now, but I'm not absolutely sure.
Summary
Unfortunately, it's not worth the aggravation.

Don't know. Deleted after removing malware that came with it.
Cons
It installed conduit, hijacked my search engine, installed anIE toolbar, and added a couple other programs to my computer despite having checked off that I did not want anything extra installed. Spent an entire day trying to clean the mess and still not sure if I succeeded.

Don't think I'll trust Cnet's installer again.

That it is nice looking and you have some nice features. You can use your own pictures. You can go online with it, email your puzzles, it a very nice program.

I LOVE Jigsaws Galore! You can import pictures to create your own; decide how many pieces you want; decide the shapes you want; decide the pieces' "oddness"; specify whether you want "fun shapes"; rotate pieces; grab multiple pieces and drop them into trays; auto-organize pieces on the board as well as in the trays; have as many trays as you want (and you can add descriptions to the trays); customize the environment; the list goes on. <p> <p>Also, the free trial is very generous - it's 30 ANY days - even if it takes you until Christmas to use them up. And there are no limitations on the free trial.
Cons
There are some minor annoying quirks, but nothing serious. For example, when you have pieces in a tray and then adjust the tray's window size, it shoves the pieces that are along the margin over and on top of other pieces instead of just temporarily hiding them from view. But like I said, it's a minor thing - to fix it, I just hit the "organize on a grid" button and presto! - they're all nice a neatly organized once again. Also, if the pieces are on the board, it will only organize the pieces that haven't been touched yet. But again, this is easily fixable just by selecting all the pieces and throwing them into a tray and organizing them from there - the tray doesn't seem to have the same problem.

these jigsaw puzzles are much better than club pogo jigsaw mania jig saw puzzles their's are boring and these are lots of fun and you can create your own puzzles
