• "Deleted Songs That Were Not Duplicated"

  Pros

  I can't really think of any pros right now. I'm pissed that it deleted way too many songs and did not deliver on it's promise to not remove songs that were on a playlist.

  Cons

  Needed to scan multiple times to find duplicates. Deleted songs that were not duplicates. Deleted Purchased songs; when I plugged in my iPhone, thankfully iTunes allowed me to copy my purchased songs back into iTunes.

  Summary

  I also ended up with lots of lost links. So I had to use its "remove dead tracks" feature to remove even more songs. I guess that worked so maybe you can put that down as a "pro". I had about 14000 songs, I am now down to 4000. I am pissed!!!! As another reviewer said, removing duplicate files, not allocated to a playlist, based on artist, title, size; how difficult can that be? The process of removing duplicates is too complicated. I would like to click on a button that says "FIND DUPLICATES", then list the damned duplicates, then click on a button that says "DELETE DUPLICATES". It should be just that simple.

• Crashed, not intuitive, ugly interface

  Pros

  it seems to work, I almost purchased the license of 18 euro, until also the PayPal link crashes. That was one crash too much.

  Cons

  It crashes in the very first minute when I simply clicked a header to sort on. Not logical interface.

  Summary

  I want something that is far more simple. Selecting files with duplicate artist, album, song names and track numbers, due to merging of two similar libraries. How difficult can it be? 18 euro is also far to expensive for a one time action. A donation button would have been nicer. 5 euro would have been fine (under the condition that it would not have crashed).

  Pros

  Used the option to get v2 - total cost $25 Took a few runs to rid all the duplicates (Some files were duplicated about 5 times !!)

  Cons

  Only removed 1 duplicate per run

  Summary

  Well worth it - would have taken hours to manually clean the library up !!

  'Questionable' registration message. Won't let you use any features until you open up the registration box, which then prompts you to pay for the software. I found that you can cancel without paying and that unlocks the features available. <p> <p>This is where the problems start. It just doesn't find my iTunes library and there is nowhere to manually enter the information. Just doesn't work.

  I really like the features. It helped me organize my iTunes Library very quickly.

  Cons

  The registration process is terrible. I've spoken with the developer about it, and he's going to try to fix it. Once you've used the product to identify duplicates, then it forces you to pay. Once you pay, you have to shut down the software, and you lose all of the duplicates you identified. Worse yet, there is no way to save your work so that you can pay. Furthermore, the license says you can install it on 2 computers, but there is no functionality in the software to install on another computer without paying again.

  Pros

  My iTunes library was plagued with duplicates, which is why I gave iTSync a try. Not only did it easily find and remove all my troublesome duplicates (even duplicates iTunes did not flag) but it found songs on my PC which were missing from my library. What a bonus! This product has already proven itself very useful beyond just removing duplicates. Well worth the money.

  Cons

  I wish I found this product a long time ago. It would have made my life a lot easier.
