Internet Speed Test Diagnostics is a broadband diagnostic tool that helps you quickly perform speed test and troubleshoot common connectivity problems. This simple tool is designed to help you pinpoint problems with your Internet connection, but there were some connectivity issues with the program itself.

Internet Speed Test's basic interface has just a few buttons to test upload and download speed, show your PC's configuration, and troubleshoot a host site. Although the program quickly performed the upload test, it wasn't always able to complete the download test. At the end of a successful test, a browser window opens, showing how your speed compares with various types of connections like DSL. This window failed to launch with each of our download tests and didn't always appear after the upload test. Internet Speed Test did effectively pull config information, and this feature consistently worked well.

The program doesn't include a help file or other user guidance to explain the Ask Expert button, which opened a browser window but only displayed the message that the page couldn't be displayed. The publisher's Web site wouldn't open, either. Internet Speed Test is offered as freeware, but its spotty performance isn't such a bargain. It'll cost you nothing to try, but it may not tell you what you want to know about your Internet connections.

Completely useless. COMPLETELY USELESS. Got that yet, CNET?
Summary
It's rare that CNET and I agree on what is worthless. You know how they think that Windows 8 and Google chromebooks are worthwhile and the rest of the human race are dinosaurs? You know what I mean. But this once they managed to get it right. This product is useless. Now, don't ask me for details a month after I downloaded it, tried it, and promptly uninstalled it. Only Cnet engineers would have that kind of memory, and that would be because they think Google Chrome and Windows 8 are worthwhile. Yet their demand that I review this project just now showed up in my mailbox!

It *appeared" to work...or maybe that was just a graphic - its seems like some kind of dinky program whose main purposed is to install adware....oops, I forgot, this is "Pros"....not many.
Cons
During the installation my virus protection informed me that it had just quarantined adware that was at that moment attempting to install. That's enough for me to give it zero stars, since you can't give it negative stars. I went ahead and let in finish the install and it seemed to work but I wouldn't trust the results.

Direct, to the point. No limits or extra steps. Click on tests, get results.
Cons
I get varying results in the beginning. The test needs to be run at least twice to get a good reading on actual speeds.
Summary
Tried the others and like this one the best. Suggestion: have the tests run 2-3 times on one click and give the results in one window.
