  the interwoven community and freedom to leave comments of any nature.

  imeem used to be the coolest thing on the internet for music lovers but due to recent lawsuit with warner music 90% of their songs have been cut to 30 sec. previews.but it is still a good site as far as videos and making online friends.

  Pros

  I LOVE Imeem, but the messenger is not worth it. You should probably just stick with Yahoo, AIM, or MSN - the concept is good, has a nice interface. Not sure why that one guy gave it only 1* it's not that bad - but it certainly isn't worth the time & it doesn't take up that much memory, that depends on your computer.

  Cons

  Hassle to download, friends on your AIM, MSN, Yahoo etc must have an Imeem acct. in order to IM through the messenger which is ridiculous because not all of your friends are going to do that. <p> <p>Some people might like this program - but I didn't. Anyways that my input and have fun with it. I'll just stick with my Yahoo, MSN & AIM. :)

  Pros

  I've been using imeem for a while now. It's convenient because it takes all the popular features I typically use on other sites and combines them into one service. So I can blog, add videos/music, send IMs, etc. There's a ton of features, but the interface is clean (unlike some MySpace pages, which I can't stand) so everything's easy to find.

  I use it all the time as my IM client now - has most of the features I got on Trillian, but w/ the social networking part I can also see when people are updating their stuff on the website

  Pros

  The idea is great. Combining isntant messenger with netwroking sites and downloading networks

  Cons

  Takes up too much memory. Takes forever too load. Uploading anything is a huge hassle and when uploading pictures, upload stops at random. <p> <p>So many things wrong with this program.

  Pros

  Its free. <p>Its a multi-networked client like GAIM and Trillian. It does Google Talk/Jabber, AIM, YahooIM and ICQ. <p>It has an awesome built in browser which connects you instantly to the imeem community. Its a BEAUTIFUL and quick easy to use browser. I love it. Much easier than using IE for the imeem community. <p>Mimics iChat very well, from the buddy list to the chat windows. Very colorful client. <p>It has the ability to log your chats.

  Cons

  To use the client you have to sign up at imeem. Moreover, the password has to have at least 3 letters and 3 numbers...keep that in mind. At leas the account is free, though. <p>It DOES support personal buddy icons, but only you see your own icon...you can see your buddies' but your buddies wont see yours. Hopefully they'll fix this. <p>Memory usage is through the roof. At one point imeem.exe was using 200+ MB of virtual memory. <p>No file transfer, photo transfer, direct connect, audio chat, video sharing, etc. It is strictly meant for chat. <p>You cant change your font. AIM buddies will see your font as the ugly TNR-12. <p>Buddy list will tell you your buddy is away, but it does not see "idle" status or away messages. <p>Doesn't support the MSN or IRC chat networks. <p>. <p>. <p>. <p>Its a great chat client. I love it. It is much better than GAIM and Trillian in my opinion, just based solely on the interface and feel. Yes, GAIM and Trillian contain more of the official features like file sending, but give imeem some time :). BTW, the imeem-im-helper.exe controls the AIM connectivity, so don't kill it; I learned that the hard way :).

  Pros

  It had a neat feature of organizing all of your IM accounts into one window, and the interface was easy and wasn't online-based so it ran fast. You could even do podcasts amd share your computer files.

  Cons

  It isn't very popular right now, and it didn't have the neat profile interface and design like some networks like Myspace, and it doesn't have as many "meems" as it couls have, but soon, the country and then the world will be using iMeem as 2006's popular download.
