iCOS: iComicsOnSale for Windows

A must-see for comic book junkies, this application provides the current list of comics as they are released to retailers, but it's not a comprehensive library for your collection. iComicsOnSale, aka iCOS, has a neatly designed interface resembling a Mac operating system's. Comics are well organized by publisher, and this freeware even displays the current price per item. The program accesses the Internet to provide you with updated lists from Dark Horse, DC Comics, Image Comics, Wizard, and, of course, Marvel. Its clever search tool proved beneficial for tracking down titles using just one word and you can add your own categories to keep track of your collection, although it doesn't keep track of purchase price verses value or book conditions. Cover images aren't included either, and you can't print anything. Though it won't provide all that a comic buff needs to maintain a growing collection, you'll definitely appreciate its ability to keep you in the know.
