  The program downloaded, installed fine but when I ran it it said there was an error with the license key and I should reinstall. Tried it twice with no luck.

  None. Instantly uninstalled after AVG caught the virus.

  Tried to install a the Proxy trojan horse after installing the program.

  Why would you put a trojan horse inside a shareware program and why is CNet allowing this program on their site?

  Pros

  Does what it says, easy to use. pretty good for FREE program! Also did not have bad download exp; saved to desktop, scanned with AV and no issues. Nice to be able to convert to bmp, jpg, gif if you needed to but I did not try that out.

  Cons

  not really a big con but you had to go into each sub folder in order for it to find the icons. Would be nice if it would pull up all the icons in one folder including its sub folders but understandably, that could take quite a while and return quite a few results depending on the folder you choose

  When I attempted to download, all my virus scanning/protecting software lighted up like a neon beer sign. would not allow download. Not sure why, but makes me nervous enough to not proceed with a second try.

  Pros

  This program can search your entire hard drive with one click and displays all icons in an easily viewable window. Simply right click the desired icon and save it to your chosen folder as an ico or bmp. <p>I had installed icon sucker but it required me to search each subfolder and dll file separately. IconFinder didn't work at all! This one did the trick perfectly.

  Cons

  You need to configure the options to search subfolders. After that easy task you'll be off to the races. <p>Also, the search is a bit slow and may hang if you search your entire drive at once. I broke my search down by searching the Programs folder first, then Windows, etc.

  You have to go into "settings" to scan your whole drive, but it gets them and displays them all in a grid. Very cool. Got all of my icons back from icon libraries I created 5 years ago. When scanning my whole drive, it gives an "out of system resources " message. Use it to scan only particular directories.

  Works perfectly. Found 4,906 icons on my PC. Very simple actions, only options to scan for icons, save or delete them, but works fine for that! No errors. Maybe win XP is faulty*cough*
