Used HotKey QL for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Create and manage hot keys with this simple creator and manager, but scripting may be difficult for some users. HotKey QL's simple and sparse interface is intuitive, but the help file is meager. HotKey QL resides in your system tray for quick access to the shortcut editor screen. To create a shortcut, you select from the drop-down list or enter the action you want to execute. Assigning a hot key is as simple as starting the Capture function and pressing the desired key combination. Advanced users can easily create scripts using Visual Basic, Java, or Windows Batch commands. HotKey QL provides a small window to place the script and offers a handy test button. The publisher offers a few script examples on its Web site, but a script library would be a welcome addition to HotKey QL. The demo is limited to the first of 20 uses or 30 days. Easy enough for most novice users, HotKey QL could be helpful to savvy intermediate users with basic scripting knowledge.
