This active window manager does its job, but a lack of user guidance and flexibility mar its overall performance. HideWin doesn't require installation and offers no user interface or confirmation after running its executable file. No Help or read-me files are included either, which could leave users, especially the novice, in the dark about how to get started. The only instruction comes from the publisher's brief description of the program, which includes the limited hot-key combinations offered. This freeware can only hide the active window and lacks a way to hide all open windows or build a list of excluded windows. You can restore them all at one time or individually, starting with the most recently hidden window. With more user-friendly and functional freeware options on the market, users shouldn't have any trouble finding a better way to manage active windows.

Not good at all

Pros
Uh... it uses just 2 megs of memory.
Cons
No GUI AT ALL
It only hides the topmost window... after that is hidden it can't hide anything else unless you click on another window...
Unhiding is retarted, as it just goes and unhides windows in the order they were hidden, so it's a pain if you only want to unhide one out of several hidden windows.
No way to change hotkeys
nHide or ChaoticVisions Curtain are better choices (both free)
