  When it works it works ok.

  Cons

  I paid extra for the pro version specifically for 7 digit dialing. It never worked, and I received no responses from support to any of the emails I sent them. When Google updated their interface the app stopped notification of voice mails.

  Summary

  Currently trying the trial version. Had it up and running in 5 minutes. Sound clarity is very good. I don't understand the complaints from people who said they spent a lot of money on this; the software has a 30 day free trial and any Magic Jack drive will work - new or used. I personally bought one on Ebay for $5.00 and use it for this.

• Glad I Found It. Not Going Back To MagicJack.

  Pros

  magicJack started separately charging for calls I made to by brother in a nearby town. They also cut off my call forwarding feature. I didn't get any notice about it either. Using Google Voice all my calls are free again and I have call forwarding back again too. It is also nice to see the caller's name and that is something my magicJack never did at all.

  Cons

  Works so much better than my regular magicJack setup ever did I think it could them out of business.

  Summary

  Worth trying. I ended up getting the pro version with 7 digit local dialing and the talking caller id feature included. Recommend setting up a separate Gmail email account to only use with the GVJackApp for phone calls.

• Free Phone Line For My Teenager With Texting

  Pros

  Set it up for my daughter to use at the house to help keep her mobile phone bill down. Also supports sending and receiving text messages. Works so well I am planning to set one up to use when I am at the office instead of taking calls on my mobile phone. The mobile phone coverage is terrible inside my office building so this should keep me from having to run to the closest window to try to get better reception when I talk to customers.

  None. Highly recommended.

  Works so well I am using it as a second business phone line. Set it up to ring my cell phone at the same time. Contact list also sync's with my cell phone contact list.

  Pros

  It was really easy to set up. Downloaded the GVJackApp, signed in using a Gmail email account and started placing calls. Like the fact that it displays and can even speak the caller's name when a call arrives.

  Cons

  None so far.

  -There are no pros to this lousy product.

  -You will need tech support and their tech support via email only is completely worthless and they are very rude. Obviously, they are fat losers who hide behind their little computer all day They just post the same canned response to every problem. -This product is complete garbage. The few times when it would actually work, the calls sound horrible.

• Useful for My Home Business

  Pros

  I can either phone somebody just like I would normally with a phone or use my computer and open my Gmail contacts list to look up a customer and click to call them that way. My customer's names also show up on the phone display when they call me. Set up a ring schedule to automatically send calls outside normal works hours to voice mail.

  Cons

  At the moment, I can't think of anything negative.

• Free Home Phone Service That Still Rocks

  Pros

  No longer receive a phone bill or pay a subscription. Uses my Gmail contacts list and displays the caller's name on my phone. The talking caller id is also great if I am in the next room watching TV but want to know who is calling.

  Cons

  None really. Works a lot better than my magic jack use to work.

  Pros

  The feature I like the most is that I was able to set it up to ring my mobile phone and my gvjack phone at the same time. The mobile phone coverage in my house is terrible so this was a good solution for me not to mention the fact that the phone calls are free.
