works great, easy to use, simple

will not work on an xp pro operating system even if used in home office, need xp home, or pay $. that's how I learned that GTD Timer leaves behind a hidden file that cannot be deleted. I find that worrisome.
Summary
From my my Avira anti-virus scan report: "Scan process 'GTDTimerLauncher.exe' - '1' Module(s) have been scanned Module is OK -> 'C:\Program Files\Productivity Scientific GTD Timer\Bin\GTDTimerLauncher.exe' [WARNING] The file could not be opened!" I was unable to remove this file, or even make it "unhidden."
free version is nearly useless

Pros
small window that doesn't get in the way of other programs. Can be set to stay on top.
Cons
only one timer at a time. only stopwatch, no alarm can be set to time of day.
Summary
all you get from the free version is ONE countdown timer at a time. You cannot enter a time of the day to count down to, only a number of minutes to count down. You cannot set more than one timer at a time. I disagree with whoever thinks it is easy to use, because when you hover over the different symbols on the window, there is not even an explanation of what they mean. I'm still looking for something better.

Pros
I used to test a lot of different software timers but did not like any of them. Until I found GTD Timer. Just press Win key plus S to run it and enter time you want to countdown for. Best tool if you are GTD fun.

Full version is commercial.
Summary
I like it because of it's usability and clarity. And I am GTD fun.
