• Command line works well, Kleopatra and GPA buggy

  lcascioSeptember 23, 2013

  Pros

I've embedded command line GPG in applications for years and it has never failed me.

  Cons

The Kleopatra and GPA GUIs are very poor. The function set is good however both are buggy and will abruptly throw fatal errors even without interacting with them. With GPA there is bizarrely some kind of timeout bug, if you do not fill out the dialog boxes quickly enough, for example when making a new key, it will abruptly throw an error. My experience is on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2008 R2, all the same behavior, rendering it unusable for my company.
