GoldWave is a professional digital audio editor. Use it to play, edit, mix, and analyze audio, or apply special effects, such as fade, equalizer, echo, reverse, time warp, noise reduction, silence reduction, pop/click filter, voice over, etc. Record new files from cassettes, albums, radio, or microphone and restore and enhance them using the wide range of filters and effects. Digitally copy tracks directly from audio CDs to edit or remix them. Convert all your iTunes M4A songs to MP3, match volume levels between songs, trim leading and trailing silences, adjust equalization to prepare your songs for a perfect MP3 CD or before copying them to your MP3 player.

Displays a variety of useful real-time visuals during playback and recording. It supports MP3, iTunes M4A, WAV, WMA, and Ogg and includes built-in tools, such as Batch Processing, CD Reader, File Merger, and Effect Chain Editor.

None that I have found and I have used the program for more years than I remember.
Summary
I highly recommend this program to people that love to play around with songs or voice recordings.

Pros
Have been using Goldwave for at least 15 years and computers since the early eighties, and this is still one of those pivotal programs which set the standard for others to try to emulate (like Lotus 123?) Does far more than most users would require for their personal collections/music libraries. Never had any trouble using the excellent help menus. Congratulations to the creators: best money I've ever spent!

Way to many tools for me to write or remember. Gives you control over your music and a great company to work with if you need them. Control bass, speed, fade in and out, stretch and soooo much more.
Cons
This program does have a steep learning curve.

I purchased the program back in the early days of the internet with a life time license. They have honored that license over a lot of years, I highly recommend their products.

Pros
I really have no complaints about Goldwave. I record my vinyl onto Audacity and do a lot of the cleaning in that program using Sound Soap and some other software. I then save the stereo or mono records and open the files in Goldwave. I like to use the hum remover in Goldwave as it does an excellent job of cleaning up the final noise in old vinyl. I then save mono records in stereo and then use other software to separate the channels. After Goldwave's final cleaning all the pops, clicks, rumble and hum are gone. I also like the idea that I can use other cleaning and effects software in Goldwave. It is a great program for the money. Also before cleaning it will show you the noise from the record you recorded so you know how much cleaning to use if any.
Cons
I have no complaints about this software. It is great for what I use it for.
Summary
If you recorded a lot of vinyl and want to clean up the sound this is an excellent program. Plus it does so many other things to clean or shape the sound.

Easier and more useful than Audacity. Variety of tools with an easy graphical lay-out. Demo version lets you save work! 1 license lasts forever ...I got mine for $39 years ago and have been through several computers with it.
Cons
It doesn't come with free beer.
Summary
I'll never use another editor. Please don't rip these guys off; they've actually done good work and have been very generous in the free demo. This is one of the best software products I've ever used. The updates have been fine, but actually unnecessary: I've never had a problem.

Pros
Better effects and trimming, excellent for looping sounds. Reverb has a little too much feedback though, and noise detection is not the best out there. I love the interface though. It makes it easy to concentrate. Opens and saves a lot of formats too, even extracting audio from videos.
Cons
Unfortunately quite pricey, though trial can be cleared quite easily if you're good with the registry

I was a software professional for 30 years before I retired. I an thoroughly impressed with the quality of the software and the documentation that goes with it.
Cons
Be nice if it would provide a time tagged list of where it makes corrections when eliminating pops/clicks.
