• Simple easy to use Gmail notifier

  Pros

  Quick,easy download and installation. <p>Simple to set-up and configure. Works with Vista which is a plus. Has lots of options and a easy to understand task bar icon. Overall a great alternative to the app called Gmail Notifier.

  Cons

  Works great for one user but has trouble with two or three account users on XP.

  Pros

  For a start, it works with Google Hosted domains. It's simple and easy, with no installer. Just click and run. Some good personalisation options for the pop-up window too.

  Cons

  Doesn't seem to link directly to a hosted inbox, instead it just opens my Firefox browser at the default start page.

  Pros

  Setup is a breeze, 1-2 minutes to customize and be up and running. Uses whatever Windows colorscheme you are currently using. Options for sound or no sound, and whether to ignore unread emails in the inbox.

  Cons

  The "transparent animated form" positioned itself over the lower right of the screen, which interfered a bit with the autohiding Windows taskbar. It only monitors one account. The interface isn't fancy, but very functional. If you want something that WORKS, grab this.

  Pros

  Easy to use, set up and customise-which is it's big advantage over gmail notifier. Also it has, so far, been very reliable whereas I've had problems with the gmal notifier
