Superb way to master French vocabulary.

Summary
French Categories is a novel and brilliant utility for increasing and solidifying one?s French vocabulary. It is always helpful to learn words in related groups (parts of the body, clothing, colors, etc.). Hearing each word pronounced in clear, perfect French is a bonus, and seeing and hearing them in full sentences is just fabulous. Categories even adds pictures to this multi-media learning experience. But that is only the beginning. Categories will also generate custom sets of vocabulary cards to study and test your acquisition. It will download words and sentences you select to your MP3 player to review while you jog. And it offers to test your spelling. A crucial question in evaluating the real-world usefulness any language learning tool is the quantity of vocabulary taught. French Categories has almost 2000 words?that?s more than many introductory and intermediate textbooks. I?ve been using French Categories for about a month now, and I?m very impressed.

Pros
Not the usual survival phrases. Learner gets to learn useful phrases to describe the world around him. Learn full sentences to get a full idea of how the words and phrases are used. Also trains the brain to recognize correct usage to attain fluency.
Cons
Could allow the user to set the number of repeats for each sentence, like the author's "StudyBook" software.
Summary
If the author could allow customizable repeats for each French sentence along with a single instance of the corresponding English translation, it would make for a very powerful software.
